A "trasmatta" (rag rug) is a very typical Swedish carpet, in our case a very little one, woven with inserts of rags, stripes of discarded clothes and sheets. In the past centuries, as widespread poverty was making it necessary to save on all sorts of ways, trasmatta carpets were made with inserts of fish nets, woolen rags, blue clothes, corsets, underwear and socks.
